Effective 23 October 2026. These terms cover the Lorentz website, app and services, including our SMS terms.
Lorentz is operated by Kaila Elizabeth Sutton, a sole trader trading as Lorentz (ABN 59 408 563 032). Lorentz is not a company. By using our website, app or services you agree to these terms.
We build websites and a custom business app for trade businesses, and provide related tools such as enquiry forms, a business phone number and SMS, quotes, invoices, automations, Google Business Profile setup and monthly reporting. What's included in your plan is set out when you sign up.
If you request a free preview, we'll build a sample website homepage and demo app using details you give us and text you a link. The preview is free, there is no obligation to buy, and you don't need to speak to anyone unless you want to. Previews may be removed after a reasonable time if you don't go ahead.
Fees are shown in Australian dollars and charged as agreed when you sign up. If a payment fails we may pause the service until it's sorted. Unless your plan says otherwise there are no lock-in contracts, and you can cancel by letting us know before your next billing date.
If you're not happy within 14 days of paying your $499 setup fee, let us know and we'll refund the $499 in full. Just email or message us within those 14 days. After that, the setup fee isn't refundable. Monthly fees aren't refunded, but there's no lock-in, so you can cancel any time before your next billing date and you won't be charged again. None of this affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Your plan includes unlimited SMS for normal business use, like replying to customers, missed-call text-backs, quote and invoice reminders and review requests. It isn't for bulk marketing, mass messaging or spam. If your sending is well beyond what a typical trade business sends, we'll get in touch to talk it through first, and we may need to limit sending or agree a different price with you.
You own your business name, logo, photos and customer data. If you leave, we'll help you take your domain and customer data with you. The Lorentz software, templates and app remain ours.
Businesses using Lorentz must not send unlawful, deceptive, abusive, unsolicited or unwanted messages. You must have appropriate consent for each recipient and messaging purpose, and honour opt-out requests, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Where an enquiry form or text message names a trade business, that business is the sender communicating with its customer. Lorentz provides the technology used to send it.
By entering your mobile number and ticking the SMS consent box on an enquiry form, you agree to receive service-related SMS from the named business about your enquiry, appointment, quote, invoice, job or customer-service conversation. Message frequency varies. You may receive an automatic acknowledgement after submitting an enquiry, and individual replies after that. This is not a subscription to promotional marketing.
If you text a business first, it may reply about that conversation. That does not give permission for unrelated, promotional or recurring marketing messages.
We work to help you get found on Google and other search and AI tools, but we can't control how those platforms rank or recommend businesses, so we don't guarantee any particular position, number of leads or result.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding the fees you paid in the three months before the claim.

We may update these terms from time to time and will post the latest version here. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
